case international 1056xl?

Hi all.

Iam from Croatia and iam interested in ihc tractors.

Here in Croatia there is a small ammonut of these tractors in working condition.

They are quite cheap,for instance a 955 cost about 4500euro,1046 about 5500euro,a 1056xl 6000euro.

I like the 955,but 1056xl is newer(89. Year),have air condition,less hours,and just little expencive than 955.

Only thing is that i dont know nothing about that tractor.

What to look on tractor when buying,does it have zf transmission or something else?

Does it have mechanic or electronic front wheel turning on option?

Hi,

it is on what the machines does have for technical equipment.

If the 955 was built later than 6.1979 it is the same machine as in the 1046 and 1056xl. (D-358)

For sure the cabine of a xl tractor is comfortably than the other ones and when the 1056xl have air condition it was a special point of equipment you could order at the ih-factory.

I would give you the advice to buy the 1056xl cause you get the most of comfort and latest technical standard. 

How does it looks with the working hours? Does every tractor have the same hours on the instrument?

955 has 7800hours,1046 6600,and 1056xl 4800.

955 has the best tires(95%/75% rear/front),1046 has 50:50,and 1056xl about 30:30..

For working hours i would to all of these put 10,000 hours more than is on clock,because like most tractors here,they are imported with 7-8 thousands hours,worked here for 10-15 years and owners sell them with less hours than they were imported.

Front wheel drive is turning on and off with solenoid valve on 1056,and mechanically on 955 and 1046 or iam wrong?
 
955 is 79. and 1046 77.,1056 is 89.

i called guy for 1056,he said that syncro bearing are changed in transmission 2 years ago,brakes are changed last year,but handbrake dont work,sometimes brake light turns on,when he hit brake,all wheel blocks ,there is no fine braking.

and the thing that iam concern is central bearing of PTO,it sounds loud and he says that just need to replace bearing and that will be fine,so i hope someone can help me with this,is it bad problem or it can be solve without big money.

ps.air contitioner compressor is missing,and we can talk about price if iam serious buyer.

For 955 i know that  previous owner has front wheel drive problem and that was solved.

For 1046 i dont know nothing more that it writes in ads.

Hi,

yes the 1056xl has central bearing PTO.

But all of that what you told about the 1056xl of replacing it would be some money to use on it.

If you have no practice and chance to do it by yourself it cost also money to do it in a garage. (Can be coming nearly half budget on the price you have pay for it. Or more...!)

It would be good to know the exactly biulding month of the 955 to find out what kind of machine it is. (The D-358 with approx 5900ccm was used in that type from July 1979, before there was used the D-310 with approx 5100ccm)

If the 955 is fit up with the D-358 machine and has no more proplems the price is very nice i think.

Ive already ask for engine type for 955 and seller didnt know the type either month of manufacture.

price for 1056 isnt final,let say,1000e can be lower than now.

i have mechanic who can change bearring but is it worth to change it?
 
Hi,

it difficult to make a statement without pictures.

If i understand you right it is not only the bearing of the central PTO. The brake are also not good, isn´t it?

Thats correct,but i hope if brakes are really new,maybe just is air in system and must be taken out(hope so).

i will go to see tractor with expirienced mechanic,but i dont think he repaired some of the ihc tractors,thats why iam asking here is it worth to play with this?

Only thing is why i make 1056 1st choice is the production year,and will spend money in that tractor if the bearing and brakes are only problem.

Will try to see tractor in live,but my friend mechanic says that 4500e is to much for that tractor.
