Sorry for writing in English.

I have a 523 that had not been running for years. I changed the engine, transmission and hydraulic oil as well as all filters. Soon after the engine started smoking (white) and with a poisonous smell (not really like diesel. Also, the engine oil level increased and oil became thinner. I have taken off 1-2 liters a couple of times. It accumulates over 5-10 hours. Oil pressure becomes very high and oil comes out at the oil filter.

It does not use any water. It seems to not use Hy-Tran oil although I was suspicious if this could run into the engine oil and cause the smoke and smell. Is this possible?

I am thinking that maybe it is because of diesel entering the engine. Could it come from the injectors, the fuel pump, other?

How can I troubleshoot this?

Hope someone have some input.

Best regards,

Hello,

it can be bouth things diesel and hydraulic oil.
You have to check the injektion and hydraulik pump  at the frontsize against leaking in the engineoil system.
If it will be diesel you can smell it in the engineoil.

IHC, alles wird gut!

It does not seem to have lost hydraulic oil.

Is there a way I can see if the pump is leaking?

Vielen dank
