Sorry for writing in english, but I am Danish and my German is a bit rusty, but will appreciate answers in German as I read it way better than I write and speak.

I just bought a IHC 523. It has VIN 701010. I do not find a database for this model but would like to know the production year. Can anyone help me?

This model has rounded fenders a bit like a MF 35. I do not see these fenders on any pictures. Is it a special version or is it not original? The ignition key also did not fit with that from a 624, and the switch was made of aluminium and not plastic as the switch from the 624.

I would like to find pictures from this year in order to fit original parts and lights to it.

You should have write the tread on "Kaffeeklatsch".

So, now i think, that your 523 is an export version.

For the best, i think you should send us a few pictures from your 523, so that wie can help you better as before.

Der Zündschlüssel paßte auch nicht zu dem von einem 624, und der Schalter war aus Aluminium und nicht aus Kunststoff wie der Schalter von der 624.

Ich möchte Bilder von diesem Jahr finden, um Originalteile und Lichter dazu zu passen.

Your tractor with s/n 701010 was built and rolled off line in early March 1966.
It was no. 1010 of the series built in total of 17573 tractors
